The Foundation has the following purpose: "to support projects of missionaries and development workers in developing countries (Africa, Asia, Central- and South-America) for the benefit of the local population. Examples of such projects are fighting poverty, health care and education and training - in a nutshell, for the structural improvement and social independence of the poorest people. The accent lies on small-scale activities, direct help in actual emergency situations, partnerships and self-support."

To this end, gifts are provided mainly in the form of direct donations to missionaries, development workers and institutions In the developing countries.
